After a difficult year, research by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) revealed that an overwhelming majority of parents felt that play has “helped their child cope” as the world around them has changed beyond recognition.
We supported GOSH Charity to help launch a new learning and entertainment platform, the ‘Power of Play’, to give parents throughout the UK the tools they need to help their children through life’s challenges, from loneliness to anxiety and illness.
In conjunction with each property and GOSH’s team of Play Specialists, we took characters that children and parents know and love, to create surprising stories that bring to life the transformative ‘Power of Play’. With animated shorts, comics, ebooks, and audio, each of the new stories show how play techniques can get kids through the toughest of times.
The play hub includes original stories from national treasures such as Alice with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Peter Pan, Hey Duggee, and Beano’s Dennis and Gnasher, as well as a host of other free resources, activities, and tips to support parents and help children cope with life’s challenges, big or small.
The supporting campaign includes a TV advert voiced by Olivia Colman, print across major new publications, social and digital displays, and DOOH placements.
