In our latest campaign for Great Western Railway (GWR), we embark on the latest chapter of the Famous Five story, following the gang on their next adventure with Great Western Railway.
In the 60” spot, directed by Guy Manwaring, we see the quintet set off on another smooth and hassle-free GWR journey to the seaside. Uncle Quentin and Aunt Fanny, on the other hand, choosing to go by car, have a decidedly less smooth trip.
The ad brings to life the four key benefits of train – speed, sustainability, comfort, and socialising – and celebrates the joys of choosing train travel over the car.
The campaign – the fourth to feature the Famous Five – includes OOH and DOOH, press and online. GWR is also seeking to inspire travellers to try out new trips working with influencers to uncover the “Hidden Gems” on its network through a series of Instagram content, showcasing the lesser-known but highly-enjoyable activities, destinations and venues across the South and South-West.
